Finding your identity

Who am I? Who do I want to be? How do people see me? How do I want other people to see me? Will they accept me for who I am?

You might have some of these questions and are having problems with finding your place in a group, in your family or in the society.

It is normal to feel lonely, unaccepted, and insecure when you haven't yet found your own identity. But actually, what's inside your head is the messy bundle of who you are. By using your curiosity and by having a playful approach to finding out more about yourself you will be able to discover hidden sides of yourself.

There are many types of identities and some of them are;

sexual orientation, gender, age, marital status, nationality, race, language, culture, ethnicity, religion, skills, thinking styles, urban, and rural.

We do not just hold one identity. We all hold multiple identities!

When you struggle with finding yourself then choosing therapy is a good option.

The therapy helps you to:

  • Identify your personal identity
  • Accept the intersectionality in other people
  • Acknowledge your own emotional resources
  • Gain self-esteem
  • Communicate yourself to people
